At Fairfield First School, our Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is a valued part of the school community. Every family at Fairfield is welcome to be involved in whatever way suits them, helping to create a supportive and vibrant environment for our children.

The PTFA brings together parents, carers, staff and friends of the school to organise fun and memorable events for the children throughout the year. These include school discos, cinema nights, bake competitions, fun days, Christmas fairs and many other creative activities. These events are often highlights of the school calendar, with many children saying the discos are some of their favourite school memories.

We also run a popular weekly tuck shop with the help of our Year 4 pupils. This gives children the chance to develop confidence and early entrepreneurial skills as they help manage and run the stall for their fellow students.

Funds raised through PTFA activities are always reinvested directly back into school life for the children. Recent contributions have included resources such as kinetic sand and sensory play equipment, grass sledges for Forest School, and support towards trips and special activities to help keep experiences accessible and affordable for families.

Getting involved is entirely flexible. Some parents help at events, others share ideas, offer useful contacts or support behind the scenes. Every contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated. Most importantly, the PTFA is a friendly group where families come together, support one another and enjoy creating fun experiences for the children.

 

We are always excited to welcome new ideas and new faces as we continue to make our events bigger and better.
