Eco

 

Fairfield First School is an Eco school. We work hard to care for ourselves, care for each other and care for the environment near and far.

As part of our Eco work, we look at the issues of: litter, waste, energy, transport, water, school grounds, healthy living, biodiversity and global perspective.

We achieved our 7th Green Flag in April 2016 

 

To help the whole school with this work, we have elected an Eco Action Team which includes representatives from each year group.

Our representatives are:

Jess, Flora, Libby, Emmei and Maisie 

Imogen, Tyler, Hattie and Phoebe-Louise 

Harry and Lily

Olivia and Toby

 

Recent initiatives have included whole school outreach sessions  from Canals and Rivers Trust, the  RSPB and Severn Trent Water. 

In addition to this we have participated in Waste Week to raise awareness of plastic pollution.
