Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Fairfield First School

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you, on behalf of the children, staff and governors, to our school website. Some of you will already know us but for some it may be your first contact with us. Thank you for taking the time to look through our site. We hope it will help you to know more about the life and work of our school.

We are a village school on the outskirts of Bromsgrove. Our school is situated in beautiful surroundings, which we aim to use to both enhance our curriculum and foster an appreciation of our children’s locality. Our school forms an important part of the local community and we work hard to maintain positive links. Our dedicated and committed staff team work very hard to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment, in which every child can not only thrive but flourish – academically, emotionally, socially, physically and creatively.
Our work in school is supported and monitored by a very effective Governing Body.

At Fairfield we have high expectations of all in our school, in terms of behaviour and concern for others. We are proud of our caring reputation, our achievements, our good manners and excellent behaviour. Most of all, we are proud of our children. We believe that they give of their best because they know that we value them highly. We aim to provide a wide range of balanced learning opportunities for all children, to help them grow into confident, successful, independent and responsible people.

We are keen to forge strong links between home and school and recognise that parents have a crucial role to play in the education of their child. The success of our school is dependent upon the strength of the partnerships we build with everyone in our school community. Each of these partnerships needs to be built on a basis of mutual trust and understanding enabling us all to meet our responsibilities.

Key to developing strong relationships is clear and open communication. We always aim to keep parents informed and involved with what is going on in school through newsletters, texts and emails, notes and through the school’s web-site. From time to time there will be occasions when parents and teachers need to share information and discuss matters. We are always pleased to meet with you to discuss the progress and welfare of your child.
Working in partnership with you, we aim for our children to:

Aim high, work hard, have fun and care for others.
